🤝 Partners in Play Reading

This featured reading is presented as part of “A Partnership in Play,” a new initiative developed in collaboration with the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival and the Frank Silvera Writers’ Workshop.

A Partnership in Play is dedicated to developing playwrights and expanding opportunities for diverse voices in theatre, film, and television. The program emphasizes hands-on craft development, mentorship, and industry exposure for emerging and mid-career writers—especially artists from underrepresented communities.

📖 Synopsis

In the aftermath of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination, a group of friends plans a daring act of vengeance. As police intervene, long-buried secrets and betrayals surface, forcing them to confront what justice truly means. When the Fence Falls explores loyalty, resistance, and the cost of fighting for freedom—with a shocking twist.
